My weight loss journey and 9th week on the weight loss medication Wegovy/Ozempic (semaglutide). This week I discuss my life update including my continued issues with battling a major depressive disorder episode and continued mental health, learning to practice self care, only one day of exercise at the gym, and stop tracking weight.
Wegovy (semaglutide) is an injectable prescription medicine (diabetes version Ozempic) used for those with excess weight/obesity to help them lose weight. It is very similar to other medications on the market such as Saxenda/Victoza (liraglutide), Mounjaro (trizepatide), Trulicity (dulaglutide), Byetta/Bydureon (exenatide), and Adlyxin (lixisenatide).
