Weight Loss Doctor in NYC discusses Zepbound (tirzepatide) approval - Dr. Decotiis - Fox and Friends: Fox News New York A popular new weight loss drug now officially getting FDA approval. The weekly injectable, called Zepbound, suppresses appetite hormones to make you feel fuller longer. Zepbound is the only drug besides wegovy specifically approved for weight loss, but with greater results, making it the most effective weight loss medication on the market. So how does it work and what are the risks? We're going to ask our weight loss physician, Dr. Sue Decotiis. Good morning to you, Dr. Decotiis. Good to see you again. So why do you like this one? This is one of your favorites, right? It's comparable to mounjaro. It is exactly mounjaro, except that it's FDA approved for weight loss. So that makes some insurance companies and doctors and patients feel more comfortable because the FDA is giving it its stamp and said, you know, we believe this is effective and safe for weight loss patients. So it's mounjaro and it works by inhibiting appetite, by enhancing satiety. But the reason why this is better than Ozempic is that it works on two appetite regulatory centers in the gut that signal back to the brain, and over time, it resets your fat thermostat, which is pretty incredible. And it really helps the way insulin works when we have trouble losing weight as we get older, hormonal changes or people that are chronically obese have always had trouble with their weight. Many times insulin isn't working well. Insulin has to work well in order for you to be able to burn fat. That's why it's so important. Any side effects with this? There are mild GI side effects in the beginning, but the thing that most patients don't understand, they're not being told, is that they have to be really well hydrated. Because when you burn fat, you lose water. So hydration is really important. In my practice, I follow every patient with a body composition scale. And that's so I know where their body fat is when they're starting out. And I watch their progress. So it's basically how they're burning fat that helps me determine how to dose them and how to taper them off the drug. So many of my patients have lost a tremendous amount of weight, even more than the studies have shown, and they've been able to keep it off. And that's wonderful. But there are a couple of caveats here. I mentioned hydration. Also. There are national shortages. So that's a problem too. So sometimes people get desperate and they're searching online and they may go to an online platform. And that's scary because they might be buying from a bad source. It could be totally bogus. There could be fentanyl in it. Totally. It could be anything in it. So don't do that. And compounding companies that are able to sell this should not be selling directly to the patient. That's a big warning sign. That's a no. It's illegal. And those sites are going to get shut down. They're just going to take your money. What do you say to the patients that say, you know what, I want to lose like 5 pounds for my daughter's wedding or I just need to lose a few pounds. Is it safe? I know that a lot of, you know, maybe obese people might want to take this. Or if they're diabetics, they say that this is good, but if you just need to lose 5 or 10 pounds for a special event. Well, my feeling is that it's also about your metabolism. If you're having trouble losing it on your own, it's something to look at. Okay? It's not something just to say, oh, this is not important. I think it can be used for very short periods of time for minimal weight loss. If you can't take it off yourself. Of course, you always start with diet and exercise, so it's really important. Okay. What's your favorite out of all of these? Is it the mounjaro or the. I think it's mounjaro. And of course the name is Tirzepatide. Okay. But this new drug, Zepp bound is going to be the same thing. So Zepp bound and Manjaro are Tirzepatide. Ozempic is semaglutide. Is it changing your patients lives? It really is. I mean, people are looking better. We've gotten people off cholesterol medications, blood pressure medications. Also, some people feel they're less anxious. Some patients have been able to get off antidepressants, Xanax, Adderall. It's incredible. It's really incredible. Well, thank you so much for coming on and explaining all this to us. We're all interested in it. And there's one. New drug that's going to be coming out in a year also by Lily Cole retro to tried. And that's going to work on three receptor systems. I'm super excited about that. That's incredible. Where to Buy Keto Blast Gummies: A Comprehensive Store Guide
When it comes to weight loss, there is no shortage of products on the market claiming to help you shed those extra pounds. One popular option that has gained traction in recent years is weight loss gummies. These chewy supplements promise to help you lose weight quickly and easily, but do they really work? In this article, we will take a closer look at weight loss gummies and separate fact from fiction.
The Science Behind Weight Loss Gummies
Weight loss gummies typically contain a combination of ingredients that are believed to aid in weight loss. These ingredients may include vitamins, minerals, and herbal extracts that are thought to boost metabolism, suppress appetite, and increase fat burning. However, it’s important to note that the effectiveness of these ingredients can vary, and not all weight loss gummies are created equal.
One of the key ingredients found in many weight loss gummies is green tea extract. Green tea has been shown to have metabolism-boosting properties and can help increase fat burning. Other common ingredients include caffeine, which can help increase energy levels and suppress appetite, and garcinia cambogia, which is believed to block the formation of fat in the body.
While the ingredients in weight loss gummies may have some merit, it’s important to remember that they are not a magic solution for weight loss. These supplements should be used in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise to see real results. It’s also important to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen, especially if you have underlying health conditions.
Choosing the Right Weight Loss Gummies
With so many weight loss gummies on the market, it can be hard to know which ones are actually effective. When choosing a weight loss gummy, it’s important to look for products that have been tested and proven to work. Look for gummies that contain clinically proven ingredients and have positive reviews from customers.

It’s also important to pay attention to the dosage instructions for weight loss gummies. Taking too many gummies or not following the recommended dosage could be harmful to your health. Make sure to follow the instructions on the label and consult with a healthcare provider if you have any concerns.
Additionally, be wary of weight loss gummies that make outrageous claims or promise quick and easy results. Losing weight takes time and effort, and there is no shortcut to achieving your weight loss goals. If a product sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Potential Side Effects of Weight Loss Gummies
While weight loss gummies may seem like a convenient and tasty way to lose weight, they are not without their risks. Some people may experience side effects from taking weight loss gummies, especially if they contain stimulants like caffeine. Common side effects may include jitteriness, insomnia, headaches, and digestive issues.
It’s important to be aware of the potential side effects of weight loss gummies and to stop taking them if you experience any negative symptoms. If you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications, it’s important to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen.
Remember, weight loss gummies are not a one-size-fits-all solution, and what works for one person may not work for another. It’s important to listen to your body and make informed decisions about your health and weight loss journey.
Conclusion
Weight loss gummies can be a convenient and tasty way to support your weight loss goals, but it’s important to approach them with caution. While some weight loss gummies may contain ingredients that can help boost metabolism and suppress appetite, they are not a magic solution for weight loss. To see real results, it’s essential to pair weight loss gummies with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Before starting any new supplement regimen, be sure to consult with a healthcare provider, especially if you have underlying health conditions. Pay attention to the ingredients in weight loss gummies, follow the dosage instructions carefully, and be aware of any potential side effects. Remember, there is no shortcut to sustainable weight loss, and it’s essential to make informed decisions about your health and wellness.
Weight loss gummies can be a valuable tool in your weight loss journey, but they are just one piece of the puzzle. By combining weight loss gummies with a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, you can achieve your weight loss goals and improve your overall health and well-being.

I COULDN’T FIND ANY VIDEOS SHOWING INJECTING MOUNJARO IN THE ARM!!! This demonstration may be the only one. #mounjaro #zepbound #tirzepatide According to the instructions from Eli Lilly you’re supposed to have someone help you if you choose to inject in the arm. I decided to do it myself, hope I got it right! If you’re an arm injector please let me know. My weightloss has stalled and slowed recently. I chose to inject in the arm because I heard that weight loss increases if you do! I will update next week what happened. The advice is to inject in the thigh, stomach or arm. I have previously used thigh and stomach as my injection sites. This was the 10mg dose. I hope to move up to the 15 mg dose. I have no underlying conditions. I am not Type 2 Diabetic. Nor am I pre-diabetic. My A1C is perfect. I have no previous experience of taking weight-loss medication. I am sharing my journey with an update on side effects, weight loss, appetite. Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) is manufactured by Eli Lilly. It is FDA approved for T2D, but not yet solely for weightloss in non diabetics. It is a weekly injection which is GLP-1 and GIP medication. It is prescription only and, if eligible, can be obtained for $25 a month with manufacturer’s coupon. I am not a medical practitioner so I cannot advise, I can only share my experience of this new medication. If you have any questions, please add them in the comments and I’ll respond.
