Eat at even times throughout the day to keep hunger at bay, keep your blood sugar level and fuel your metabolism so your body continues to burn fat. 6. Be prepared. When you are hungry, you'll reach for anything on hand. Make sure you have smart options available. Think ahead. Plans your meals, cook up large batches of healthy food and bring a change of workout clothes in your car so you are always prepared to head to the gym. 7. Control calories. Even though you don't need to track every calorie you consume, it's always a good idea to have an estimate of how much you are really eating. Overdoing it, even if it is on chicken breasts and vegetables, can still add up and prevent fat loss. 8. Gain control over stress. Stress release hormones that hang onto body fat and prevent weight loss. It also causes cravings and if you give into them, you'll have an even harder time losing the fat. Find ways to reduce the stress in your day-to-activities. Tackle one chore at a time and use relaxation techniques to get control over it before it derails your fat loss efforts. 9. Stick to your plan. No amount of planning or thinking about it is going to get you the results you seek unless you commit to it and stick to the plan. Find the determination and motivation you need to stick to your fat loss plan and meet your goals.
