Are we fully aware of the side effects of GLP1 drugs? 🤔 In this video, we dive deep into the potential side effects of GLP1 drugs and why understanding them is critical for your health. 🌟 These medications, often used for weight loss and diabetes management, have been gaining popularity—but are we asking the right questions about their impact? We’ll explore common side effects like nausea, fatigue, and digestive changes, along with the lesser-discussed long-term implications. 🩺💊 Whether you’re considering GLP1 drugs or are already using them, it’s essential to stay informed about how they interact with your body. Join me as we unpack the facts, bust myths, and provide tips for mitigating unwanted effects. Knowledge is power, and understanding these drugs could make all the difference on your health journey. 💡✨ 👉 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share if you find this information helpful! Your health matters—let’s navigate it together! ❤️ MC shares that the accessibility of GLP/GIP drugs will become increasingly better at prices between $250-350 per month. Especially if Medicare/Medicaid move forward with approving these medications in the list of drugs they cover. The accessibility of these drugs is a game changer for many people who are suffering from obesity and have tried so much to move their weight with no success. MC shares that this is her story. She has not been able to lose past 245lbs for years, yet she began her weight loss journey with Tirzepatide in August of 2023 and has lost more than 50lbs since then. She is now at a weight she hasn't been since her late teens and feels that without access to this medicine, she would still be stuck despite her vigilance to calories (1500-1700) and exercise - 30-40 minutes a day. Now, there are more than 80 online companies offering access to GLP/GIP drugs. There is a need to be cautious about the issues related to where these companies are getting access to the drug and how you are being educated about these medicines. Three things to consider: 1) Where does the drug come from? Compound pharmacy or the pharmaceutical company 2) Training for how to inject? are you trained by a licensed medical professional 3) How are you educated about side effects and what to do? Constipation, nausea, and vomiting are possible. Using weight loss drugs improves so much related to obesity - an increased risk of cancer, arthritis, diabetes, gallbladder issues, insulin resistance, and much more. Yet insurers have never been ready to cover weight loss drugs in the past and only recently because obesity is now seen as a disease versus a lack of willpower or discipline; there has been some movement of the needle, yet the cost of using a drug for diabetes (co-pay $25) and weight loss (co-pay $250+) sounds ridiculous!! Why the disparity? And now the drug Tirzepatide has been approved for obstructive sleep apnea and semaglutide for cardiovascular disease, the options are increasing for these drugs and their ability to help people earlier before they have a diagnosis of a chronic illness such as diabetes, heart disease, or cancer. We have asked ourselves why insurance companies want to keep us sick? Wouldn't they support care that prevents progression to a chronic or debilitating illness? Wellness care must become the new model as we live longer, and the change needs to start with those of us who contribute to an insurance company every month. MC sometimes wonders what would happen if we all decided to stop paying for insurance and got to a cash payment system? MC has friends with a very high deductible and often asks their medical providers if they can pay for this directly. Guess what? The lower price suddenly appears when you can pay for Medical Care directly. The money saved in chasing the insurance dollars for a medical practice is enormous. Why do we all have such hostile feelings towards insurance companies? We must continue to advocate for better insurance and medical practices that support our wellness rather than our illness. What will it take to shift the world of health in this direction? Let's keep pushing for more wellness care and less illness care. Be well, my friends. We have this one precious life; let's live it intentionally. 🌿💚 📌 Disclaimer: The views shared here are solely for education and entertainment. 🇮🇹TRAVELING INTERNATIONALLY ON A GLP-1 MEDICATION🇮🇹 I’ve been in Italy for the past two weeks and here are 3 tips to traveling internationally while on a GLP-1 medication. #weightcarepartner 1️⃣ Make sure your medication is in your carry on bag that you are carrying though TSA so that it doesn’t get lost. Also, make sure you carry it in a temperature controlled carry case so that your medication stays cool. 💉Make sure to carry your supplies you’ll need to administer your medication also in your carry on, and that you have the prescription label on hand. 📱And make sure to call ahead to your hotel to ensure there is a refrigerator in your hotel room. 2️⃣ Packing protein packed snacks and electrolytes. Bring your protein packed snacks with you to ensure you’re meeting your protein goal daily or at least coming close to it. Some of my favorite snacks to pack are protein bars and roasted edamame beans. 💧Alongside making sure you’re meeting your protein goal, make sure to bring electrolyte packets and a reusable water carafe so that you’re keeping your body hydrated. 3️⃣ Plan ahead for your meals and check the menus of restaurants before you go out to eat so that you know there is something on the menu that you’ll be able to enjoy. 🙆🏽♀️I’ve lost 70 pounds on a GLP-1 medication coupled with changes to my lifestyle and exercise. I get my medication from my Telehealth provider and if you’re thinking about starting a GLP-1 medication you can sign up using the link in my bio. 💉Comment “GLP1” to get a DM for the link to get your first month of either compound Semaglutide or compound Tirzepatide for $99, use code: CANDICE99 at checkout, or click the link in my bio!! #weighcarepartner 💉If on Facebook, click this link: http://bit.ly/candice99 🚨This is my experience on a GLP-1 medication.
