I started semaglutide on April 9th, 2024 and my life has changed for the better. I started my weight loss journey at 200 lbs and lost 10 pounds over the course of 6 months. I was eating in caloric deficit, a high protein, low fat diet, and was exercising 5 days a week. Still, I was not losing the weight that I was expecting. I felt completely stuck and hopeless! My side effects when I first started was nausea comparable to minimal morning sickness - this was remedied with drinking a lot of water. I was prescribed Zofran but did not need it at all. I had a headache the first 24 hours after the first injection, but never experienced a headache since. I do not currently experience any negative side effects at my current dosage! I used to suffer from chronic migraines about 2-3 times a week that I managed with 800 mg of ibuprofen, CBD topical cream, and a warm compress over the eyes. It severely impacted my life and productivity. However, after starting semaglutide, I have yet to experience another migraine. It has been so liberating.
